Xpro was fr4ozen at upper circuit of 5%, similarly Alps gave a profit of Rs 7/-, laopala gave a profit of rs 9/-, Granules gave a profit of rs 11/-, Crompton greaves gave a profit of Rs 4/-, Purvankara gave a profit of rs 37/-, reliance gave a profit of rs 30/- and clutch auto gave a profit of Rs 12/-.

Market Day Diary:The market saw a lot of drama in 2007 but India's long-term story is intact and the market closed on a fantastic note today. Sensex closed at 20286, up 80 points and Nifty at 6138, up 58 points from the previous close. The CNX Midcaps Index was up 2.2% and BSE Smallcaps Index was up 3.4% The market breadth was strong with advances at 1038 against declines of 197 on the NSE. Top Sensex gainers included Bharti Airtel, NTPC and M&M, while losers included HDFC, Ambuja Cements and Infosys. Top Nifty gainers included BPCL, Tata Power and Cairn India while losers included Nalco, Sterlite and Reliance Energy.
