Stock market day Diary:The Indian market outperformed its global peers as the Sensex crossed new highs today. Sensex closed at 20812, up 125 points and Nifty at 6279, up 4 points from the previous close. The CNX Midcaps Index closed in the negative, BSE Smallcaps Index was up 0.6%. BSE Bankex and BSE Realty Index both closed up almost 2.4% and BSE FMCG Index was up 3.3%. The BSE IT Index was down almost 2.8%. The market breadth was negative with advances at 532 against declines of 701 on the NSE. Nifty gainers included Suzlon, ICICI Bank, ITC, REL and Reliance Communications while losers included VSNL, ONGC, GAIL, Infosys and Wipro.

Likely Trend Stock market: Watch Nifty 6000 and Sensex 20000 levels. In case broken bearishness will commence else new heights may continue till budget. Sugar is the flavour of the year by virtue of special status for ethanol.
